Guidelines for Using the Scrapbook Playground Message Board

Scrapbook Playground is happy to be able to provide this message board for you to use and enjoy. In order to provide a positive forum for everyone to visit, the following Guidelines and Policies regarding the use of the message board have been put in place.

No Advertising or Links Please

Our message board is a part of our online community, which includes an online store. We appreciate the understanding and respect of other retailers and those selling items to refrain from posting here. Please also do not promote other stores or organizations on our board when you hear about a new coupon, sale, etc. Thank you!

This policy also includes links or advertisements for personal for sale or trade, as well as consultants. No links! Thank you for your cooperation!

If you feel for some reason that there should be an exception made in your case, please email us at admin@scrapbookplayground.com prior to posting.

Non - Endorsement

Opinions expressed on this board ARE NOT endorsed by Scrapbook Playground and are not to be associated as such. They are the independent thoughts and opinions of our users.
If you feel that a posted message is objectionable, please contact us immediately by email. We will remove the message in question if we feel that removal is necessary.

Personal information

You MAY NOT use our message board to collect information, including screen names or information about people who post here. The use of such information for the purpose of sending unsolicited bulk e-mail or any other unwanted purpose is strictly prohibited.

Harvesting email addresses from our board in order to send out email advertisements is considered a direct violation of this guideline. Spam is a serious offense. Any user found to be taking such action will be banned from the board immediately and their hosting provider will be notified of their actions.

For safety reasons, please do not post messages that contain your street addresses, full name, phone number or other personal information. When providing this information for swaps or any other reason, please do so in private e-mails and not on a thread on the message board.

Always remember that no matter how comfortable one feels when visiting any web site, or how friendly the members are, information posted online is available to millions of people around the world, and we have no way of ensuring that only community members will read your personal information.

General Terms of Use

Please do not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or that otherwise violates any laws.

In adherence to legal requirements we cannot allow the posting of copyrighted material without proper credits. Clips of copyrighted material should be posted with the specific material in quotes and properly credited. Any permissions by the author should be noted at the bottom of the post. Copyright violations are a serious legal offense. Any post that contains copyright material without proper quotation and credits, or without permission of the copyright holder, will be removed.

Please keep in mind that others will have access to your posted material and layouts and might copy, modify or distribute it. By submitting to our board and gallery you acknowledge this fact.

You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scrapbook Playground and our agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

We also reserve the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.

Please note that chain letters, pyramid schemes, private emails and solicitations are not allowed on our Message Board and will be deleted.

Swap Guidelines and Disclaimer

Swap at your own risk!! Scrapbook Playground is not responsible for swaps in any way. You are taking a risk by participating in one and we will not accept any liability related to flakers (participants and hostesses alike).

We are opening this forum as a test to see how it goes. If swapping becomes too much of an issue or if there is too much negativity, we will not hesitate to shut down this portion of the board and ban swaps indefinitely. I know many of you have asked to see swapping here, so we truly hope that we can all work together to keep it a happy, positive environment!

If you are unable to continue with a swap due to personal or other reasons, please contact your hostess ASAP so she can find a fill-in. If you are a hostess and feel that you can not continue with the swap, please try to recruit one of your participants to take over.

Swapping is done as a matter of trust among participants. Most of us only know each other through words on a screen -- please keep this in mind as you participate in and host swaps here. We would really like to see a positive swapping environment and hope you will conduct and host swaps in a positive, responsible manner.

The most important thing to remember is to have fun and let your creativity shine through!!

Posting comments

All of the above policies listed for posting on the message board will also hold true for posting in our idea gallery. Please remember to always use the utmost respect for our members and their layouts. You know what kind of hard work you put into your own layouts and you know how it would feel if someone commented negatively on your work.
